First FMA instructor: I was first introduced to FMA by GM Juerg Ziegler on a Hapkido seminar in 2005 and started practicing with Pedro Silva.
Started to train Kali Sikaran because: I´ve started Kali Sikaran after attending two classes during a Kombatan Camp in Gothenburg. Heikki slapped me a around for fun (yes,pain is a great teacher), tried to change my attitude and later showed me the organization. I was doing Kombatan for some years but there was something missing… By the end of that week I had invited Heikki to stay one week in Portugal so we could share more knowledge and do some kick ass practice!
Favourite part of Kali Sikaran: The system is wonderful! There´s no way to disconnect one part from other! I love to do sinawalis but I´m always eager to do some Sikaran!
Strives to be better in: The best person I can be. As a martial artist, as a teacher, as a professional, as a friend!
I choose to train KSI because: The key is there! If you search for self-defence KSI HAS IT! You search something to improve yourself as a person? KSI has it! Mandirigma 2009 changed my life! I´ve never ever been put to such hard times as in 2010 when I lost my job and what I´ve learned and the people – especially Johan and Heikki – I´ve worked with there made a huge difference.
Future plans in KSI training: Kadua next year! I´ve a special plan to get two of my students to Phase 5.
Future plans in general: Attending Mandirigma this year. Make a clear plan to be known around in Portugal.
Additional ranks in other martial arts: 3 Dan in Kombatan
Biggest martial arts Role model/inspiration(s): Heikki Martikainen, Johan Skalberg in KSI. GGM Ernesto Presas is always in my heart, he was the one who showed me how FMA was the thing I should be doing as a martial art. And there´s Chuck Norris! Without him there were no martial arts!

There are some other kinds of living but I love my life!
Other interesting facts: Besides FMA and KSI I’m passionate about cinema and music. I’m a wine collector and a gastronome and I try to travel in and out of my country to find new places and meet new people.
